The Inclusive Decent Work Program focuses on creating real employment opportunities and safer working environments for young people, especially those from vulnerable. The program is aligned with the standards of the International Labour Organization, with particular emphasis on promoting workplaces free from violence and harassment.
Guided by ILO Convention 190, we work to prevent and address violence and harassment in the world of work by raising awareness, strengthening accountability, and engaging employers to foster respectful and inclusive workplace cultures.
This program complements TICO’s broader youth empowerment and skills development initiatives by ensuring that after gaining skills, young people can transition into jobs that are safe, fair, and sustainable.
At the same time, the program contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 8 by promoting inclusive employment, supporting job placement pathways, and advancing economic opportunities for youth.
Human rights are the fundamental freedoms and protections that every young person deserves, regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs. They provide the foundation for equality, dignity, and safety in society. In this program, we focus on promoting human rights by encouraging fair treatment, preventing discrimination, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to participate fully in the community.
We Organize a session where people learn about basic human rights, why they matter, and how they protect everyone. This can include videos, presentations, or guest speakers from local organizations.
